How The Partnership Formed
Our application was denied early in the process of the partnership program. However, unlike other organizations who chose to pause their operations and reevaluate the ecosystem, we chose to secure our roster early in the offseason.
In an effort to secure financial support from the new league revenue share, we opted to approach teams we knew were confirmed for league partner. We reached out to many teams but Team Liquid was immediately interested and offered us and our team infrastructure and support unlike any other team we approached. We shared a common vision for Marvel Rivals, and quickly began working on our collaborative branding. Leading to the product you see today, Liquid Citadel.
How Will The Partnership Function?
Due to our previous experience in the ecosystem, we are maintaining our competitive and marketing operations with direct support from Team Liquid and their strong existing infrastructure. This world class infrastructure will not only support the players to the highest degree, but also us as we continue to grow. This means our Citadel channels will be where Liquid Citadel lives. From content to gameday coverage, @CitadelCTG will be the main account hosting the team, and @TeamLiquid will support our efforts.

The Roster
SparkChief- Vanguard
Fresh off a 3rd place finish at Grand Finals, SparkChief has already proven he can compete at the highest level. Known for his emotional investment in every match, his passion was fully displayed at DreamHack, quickly turning into a community meme. Beyond that, this competitor cares deeply about winning and improvements.
Polly – Vanguard
Captain Polly’s back. Same chemistry, same consistency and (somehow) even more aura. While his last season ended with a 5th place finish, he’s using that as motivation to elevate his game and the team. He’s steady, adaptable and the type of player who doesn’t need to say much. The presence speaks for itself.
Energy – Duelist
The DPS powerhouse and fire-starter of the roster. True to the name and with proven synergy alongside SparkChief and Cooper, Energy brings aggression, pace and synergy the team already trusts.
Shpeediry – Duelist
Though his previous team fell short at Grand Finals, not making it past the group stage, he’s bringing experience and is looking for redemption. He’s ready to turn that experience into impact, one that can shift any match in his favor.
Cooper – Strategist
A seasoned strategist, Cooper helped his team secure 3rd at Grand Finals. Plays Loki to perfection, keeping the team sharp, chaotic when needed and always one step ahead.
Nero- Strategist
Joining Citadel after a tough run on Envy and also looking for redemption, Nero is ready to flip the script, shaping the team’s strategy from the ground up.
Pky – Sub
Returning to Citadel after last season, Pky adds depth and flexibility to the roster. As a sub, he’s ready to step in at any moment with the same composure that made him a trusted part of Citadel’s lineup.
Coaching Staff
LegitRC
The brain behind the operation. Legit brings strategy and next-level preparation. He makes sure everyone knows the setup, rotation and how each win is earned. Sharp on analytics and calm under pressure, this team will run like clockwork under his guidance.
Gator
The secret weapon. He hones on player development, adapts strategy on the fly and brings energy that keeps the team sharp and unpredictable. He’s the spark that turns practice into peak performance.
